1/30/16: TOWING: Residents, unfortunately, we just discovered that
our towing contractor transferred our contract to another towing service
(without our knowledge) upon their decision to shut down their Woodbridge
operations. Roadrunner is no longer our
community towing service. To report a
vehicle in your private spot, you can reach Dominion Wrecker at (703)
590-0994. Our sincere apologies for this
immediate change - we were just as surprised as you.
11/25/15: Happy Thanksgiving! Given that Thanksgiving is on a trash pick-up day, please remember that trash will not be picked up on that day. Also, don't forget that trash must be kept in a covered container at all times, and bags cannot be left outside for pick-up. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
10/24/15: Another amazing Dumpster Day! Thanks to the many community residents that volunteered their time to help pick up trash and debris in the community. For the year, Thousand Oaks collected and disposed of over 8.1 tons of trash! Great job! Remember, keeping our community clean not only keeps it looking nice, but keeps it safe and inviting to guests!
2/26/15: TRASH PICK-UP FOR FRIDAY: For those residents that may not have had their trash picked up by Charlie & Son on Thursday, February 26, 2015 may have it removed by the 27th (Friday). Unfortunately, two (2) of their trucks could not make rounds due to the snow and ice in a number of neighborhoods, including TOTA. If your trash is still not picked up by the end of day on Friday, you will need to remove your trash cans and wait for the next pick-up day (i.e., Monday, March 2, 2015).
2/17/15: The 17 February 2015 Board Meeting is rescheduled to 24 February 2015. The meeting will be held at the Lake Ridge Baptist Church, accessible via front entrance, last door on right.
2/22/15: The TOTA community Dumpster Day is approaching! On April 25th from 8:00AM to 12:00PM (Noon), a dumpster will be provided in the swimming pool parking lot for use by TOTA residents for the disposal of a number of items that fit the following requirements:
- Cannot accept any liquids such as paint or gas/fuel
- Cannot accept any construction material
- All equipment such as mowers should be drained prior to arrival
- Can accept CPUs, refrigerators, TVs and other appliances
Please let your neighbors know about the day! In addition, feel free to use this day as an opportunity to host a yard sale!
1/26/15: Pool volunteers are needed each year, and 2015 is no different! The pool season will run from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The Board is seeking volunteers that are dependable and responsible. If you enjoy an atmosphere of an outdoor pool and are looking for a great place to spend your summer, then come give us a hand! Contact Us for more information.
1/26/15: Volunteers are needed! If you have an interest in helping the TOTA Board, whether serving on a Committee, helping with the pool in the summer, or in another way, please let us know! Go to the Contact Us page and send us a message!
10/31/14: Our December community meeting is held in the Fellowship Hall at Lake Ridge Baptist Church. It is the community's annual meeting for all residents of Thousand Oaks, and we encourage you to attend and share your thoughts for making this community a special place to live.
4/14/14: Thank you to everyone who made the "Dumpster Day" on Saturday a terrific success! Special thanks for Laurie Cronin for bringing a wealth of information from the County, including a number of helpful flyers. We filled two (2) dumpsters, making our community that much nicer!
We have been asked if we are going to have another "Dumpster Day". We're investigating the option and potential dates - stay tuned, and we'll let you know when it moves forward!
